During the last few months of 2012 I was thinking that I should focus on a single Warhammer army. Start it from scratch, assemble it, paint it and start using it in tournaments. Many armies tempted me but in the end it was the Empire that won me over.
One of the big reasons Empire was my choice was they already
have a new book, I won’t get an army going and then a book comes out and
changes everything. Reading through the book I quickly realised they can do a
bit of everything. This gives me a good scope not to get bored with running the
same list over and over.
I already have a lot of Empire miniatures sitting on my
hobby desk ready to assemble and paint. I am hoping to get a full day to sit
and assemble some miniatures then another couple of days over the next few
weeks to sit down and get some base coats on a lot of them. The basic plan is
to get a basecoat, wash and a simple highlight on everything then later I will go
back and try my hand at doing some finer details.
Hopefully next post I will be able to dig out my camera and
get a few decent shots of my work in progress army.
